Again and again people try to get help for their lives in astrology, in astromancy. Is our luck really in the stars?
Horoscopes are often offered and also read with interest - the daily horoscope, the horoscope for the week or for the year. Already at the birth of a child the life horoscope is done. Here there is talk about fate rays, which are supposed to influence the whole life. According to astrologers, the fate of every living being is determined by the angle of the stars at the moment of birth. The constellation of the stars is supposed to influence resp. determine the character, health and destiny of a human being by radiation, cosmic powers or supernatural relations.

It is a fact that astrologers still use the ancient recipes of the Chaldeans, Babylonians, Greeks and Romans. Astrology is a spiritual heritage of pagan religions, which say that planets and other stars of the zodiac are gods who have influence on the events on earth. In the magical worldview of antiquity, planets were acting powers. The Ptolemaic world view saw the earth at the center of the world, around it seven spheres with the planetary orbits and an eighth sphere with the fixed stars; thus the sun, moon and stars revolve around the earth. Since Copernicus we have known that the earth is not at the center of the world and according to research reports of the astronomers it is certain that the constellation of the stars changes from year to year. With it the world view and the angle calculation of the astrologers become irrelevant.

Astrology confuses the creation with the creator. At the creation of the world God speaks: "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to shine upon the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, to separate the light from the darkness." Creation ceaselessly proclaims the greatness and omnipotence of God and is a never-ending praise to God. The Bible teaches us that God created the heavenly bodies for illumination, as well as to regulate the rhythm of time and navigation, but they possess no power by themselves.

Astrology consults the stars and the cosmos to get information about man, rather than relying on the Word of God. Only God can be the counsellor of our future.
In Is. 47:13 we read among other things: "Let them stand forth and save you, those who divide the heavens, who gaze at the stars, who at the new moons predict what shall befall you. Behold, they are like stubble, the fire consumes them;...they wander about each in his own direction; there is no one to save you."

More and more new names and terms concerning astrology are appearing. There is talk of "inner journeys" to the organ system; "astrological analysis" is used for relationship and family problems. Astro-diagnosis and -therapy is practiced in various esoteric healing methods, e.g. in Bach flower, singing bowl, reincarnation and aroma therapies. Ayurveda and Feng Shui also work with the help of the horoscope. Even spiritual healers let themselves be guided by astrology. Astrology belongs to the field of fortune telling. What does tomorrow, the future bring for me? . . .
