Morning Prayer

O my God and Lord, I adore You from the depths of my heart and thank You for all the graces and blessings You have shown me since the first moment of my life. I especially thank You for Your protection during the past night. In return, take my heart with all its good intentions and resolutions as a sacrifice, with which I associate the most holy sacrifice which my Divine Redeemer, Jesus Christ, offered to Thee on the stem of the cross.
Grant me, O God, the grace to spend this day according to Thy pleasing. What I do, I will do for Your glory and out of love for You.
Strengthen me, therefore, in my weakness, turn away from me all dangerous temptations, and should it please Thy divine wisdom to try me today, grant me the strength to avoid all that is contrary to Thy most holy will.
Bless my works, most loving Father! Let me remember that Your all-seeing eye penetrates the innermost depths of my heart, and that one day I will have to give an account to You of each of my words.
O Jesus, my divine Redeemer, and You, O Most Holy Mother Mary, look down on me with favour on this day and help me to persevere in my good intentions. You too, my holy guardian angel, may continue to guide me on the path of virtue and godliness. Pray for me, You Saints, that I may follow Your example.
