Father Rufus Pereira came from a community of Indian Catholic Christians in Bombay. He was ordained as a priest in Rome. After his first personal experience with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in India, his priestly life changed dramatically.
In May 1976, he was made available by Cardinal Gracias for a full charismatic ministry in the diocese and the country. Fr Rufus Pereira was director of the National Charismatic Bible College and visiting professor at the Pontifical Theological Institute. Since 1997 he served as a member of the International Council of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal - succeeding Fr Emiliano Tardif - and was responsible for pastoral care as well as healing and deliverance ministry at the global level.
Fr. Rufus died in London on 2 May 2012.

Mag. Erika Gibello was the long-time co-speaker and right hand of Fr. Rufus and accompanied him constantly until his death. She is an extremely experienced and highly competent specialist in the Catholic Charismatic healing and liberation ministry, endowed with special charisms.
